After having an Nokia N97 for the past 2 weeks I’ve been waiting for the new firmware v2.0 to get released back to Nokia by Vodafone.
Checks on NSU and well at long last it’s there.
Everything is backed up, fingers crossed now

Amazingly everything went swimmingly.
Software updated without a hitch. Phone reset and all settings appear to have been kept – wasn’t expecting that.
The kinetic scrolling works well (as far as I can tell).
Now to see if the SIP client is present.

sip up and running perfectly.
I suppose I’d better get the skype channel running on my asterisk server now.

it’s taken me a while but I’ve finally found a vpn client for this thing. OK it’s only pptp but even that’s better than nowt. There is supposed to be an ipsec client but I’ve not managed to download it yet.
pptp works fine via wlan. Typical though I can find no way of forwarding gre traffic through my router. time for a new one and get rid of this netgear shite.
